DAY 01: NASSAU

Explore
Nassau

Nassau, the capital of The Bahamas, is a sunny and lively destination famous for its beaches, such as Cable Beach and Nirvana Beach. From The Pirates of Nassau Museum, which tells the story of Blackbeard and Edward Teach, to the Pompey Museum of slavery, Nassau, which dates back to 1670, is rich in history. The pastel-coloured buildings in the downtown area are home to shops, restaurants, bars, the Fish Market and the Straw Market which sells souvenirs, straw crafts and tourist trinkets.

Sea days are rarely dull. Take the time to sit back and let the world go by. The ship’s observation decks provide stunning views of the passing ocean. A day at sea gives you the opportunity to mingle with other passengers and share your experiences of this incredible trip or head to our library which is stocked full of reference books. Get an expert’s view in one of our on-board lectures or perhaps perfect your photography skills with invaluable advice from our onboard professional photographers.

DAY 03: CHARLESTON, SC

The first British settlement in South Carolina, the city of Charleston is renowned for its charming colonial and antebellum architecture, ornate old gardens and its rich yet turbulent history. Stroll through the narrow cobbled streets and explore the city’s colourful past. You can also choose to opt in one of the optional excursions.CHARLESTON, A KINGDOM BY THE SEA (3 Hrs): Immerse yourself in the historic district of Charleston with the St. Michael’s church and Joseph Manigault House. Marvel at the charming homes along the Battery. Discover one of the three most important buildings in the country from the Revolutionary period: Hibernian Hall, the old Exchange and Provost Dungeon.CHARLESTON CIVIL WAR HISTORY (4 Hrs): Learn how the American Civil War marked the nation and shaped it in ways we still feel to this day. Discover ho Charleston played a major part in the war. Visit the Edmonston Alston House, one of the oldest houses along the High Battery, which withstood the American Civil War, the Earthquake of 1886, and numerous hurricanes.
