Without wasting a moment, we took the ferry to Formentera, an island celebrated for its unspoiled beaches and tranquil ambiance. Our home for the next two days was Hotel Roca Bella, ideally situated right on the beach of El Pujols.
Upon checking in, we were instantly captivated by the breathtaking view of the azure sea from our room. That evening, we dined at the hotel’s beachside restaurant. As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, we savored a delectable paella. The flavors of saffron, fresh seafood, and perfectly cooked rice were a delightful introduction to the culinary wonders of the islands
The next morning, we set out for Ses Illets, one of Formentera’s most iconic beaches. With its powdery white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters, Ses Illets is nothing short of a paradise. The following day, we bade farewell to Formentera and took the ferry back to Ibiza. Our destination was the historic town center, known as Dalt Vila, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The hotel’s location provided stunning views of the old town and the harbor, creating a sense of timelessness.

As our long weekend drew to a close, we couldn’t help but wish for more days to explore the myriad of other beaches and hidden gems these islands have to offer. A boat tour, we realized, would have been an ideal way to discover more secluded spots and enjoy the beauty of the islands from a different perspective.
